Yamaha has announced four new affordable Home-Theater-in-a Box systems that range in price from $400-$850.

The models and individual pricing are:

YHT-790, 105Wx5, MSRP: $849.95
YHT-690, 105Wx5, MSRP: $649.95
YHT-590, 100Wx5, MSRP: $549.95
YHT-390, 100Wx5, MSRP: $399.95

All systems feature HDMI interfaces with two inputs, for connecting two HDMI sources such as a high-def television and a Blu-ray player, and one output.

The systems allow users to access content stored on A2DP Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones and iPods via Yamaha’s optional Bluetooth wireless audio receiver or iPod docking stations. To help make compressed audio files sound better, Yamaha’s Compressed Music Enhancer restores high and low frequencies that are typically lost during the compression process.

All models feature Yamaha’s CINEMA DSP, which offers eight different surround modes (three for music, five for movies), compatible with the latest surround sound formats, to provide the optimal surround experience. The systems also have a Silent Cinema mode that simulates the surround sound experience when using headphones.

The YHT-790 and YHT-690 feature the Yamaha Parametric Room Acoustic Optimizer (YPAO) technology, which automatically applies speaker EQ to optimize system sound in real-world rooms. These two models also feature satellite radio connectivity.
