According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros.’s Home Entertainment division continues to release titles from the studio’s back catalog in celebration of its 85th Anniversary. The campaign, notes the report, began in March with the Ultimate Collector’s Edition of Bonnie and Clyde and will continue with the release of more than 50 back titles from nine genres—many of which are available in both Blu-ray and DVD format. Superhero films, musicals, westerns, horror, and holiday collections are on the docket for release. Many of the films are newly restored and feature new extras.
The report continues to say that Warner’s vault contains 6,800 films; only 1,400 of which have been released on DVD. “There's always something new, something we maybe haven't thought of,” says Ron Sanders, president of Warner Home Video. “And this anniversary campaign gives us a great opportunity to really dig into our vaults.”
