According to reports on Engadget.com, Wal-Mart will cease stocking HD DVD products.

Reuters news service is also reporting that Wal-Mart will begin phasing out HD DVD products and will totally discontinue hardware and software by June.

This comes on the heels of announcements in favor of Blu-ray by Best Buy and Netflix. Best Buy will prominently feature Blu-ray products even though HD DVD products will still be available. Netflix will begin phasing out HD DVD films by the end of the year.
