Billboard.com reports that legendary soul singer Solomon Burke will release his new album Like a Fire featuring collaborations with Eric Clapton, Ben Harper, Jesse Harris, and Keb’ Mo.

Each artist provided a song for Burke and performed with him on the track. Eric Clapton provided the title track, “Like a Fire” as well as the unfinished song “Thank You” which Burke completed. Ben Harper, who had never met Burke until they recorded, provided “A Minute to Rest and a Second to Pray.” According to amazon.com, the album is produced by Grammy-winning drummer Steve Jordan who also wrote three songs.

Like a Fire, which will be released June 10 by Shout! Factory follows 2006’s Nashville, another star-studded album in which the King of Rock & Soul reinterprets some of Nashville’s most famous tunes.

Burke will tour in support of the album beginning May 23 in Detroit.
