2008 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees

According to a release from the Associated Press, 2008’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees were announced Thursday, Dec. 13, and include Madonna, John Mellencamp, The Ventures, Leonard Cohen, and The Dave Clark Five.

The AP notes that the inductees were selected by 600 music industry figures. To be eligible, an artist must have had a single or album released at least 25 years prior to nomination.

Singer/songwriters Emmylou Harris, Shawn Colvin, Patty Griffin, and Buddy Miller will be sharing the stage on a brief January tour.

The Three Girls and Their Buddy Tour, promises to be a far better tour than its dubious title implies, with four seasoned artists sharing the limelight. Although no official word confirms this, expect the artists to be performing a mix of each other’s songs in what could not be anything other than a memorable outing.

Woody Guthrie Live in Concert
